MY APPROACH:
I am dedicated to empowering individuals and organisations to cultivate self-awareness and reflection, strengthening focus, enhancing engagement, and optimising safety. Well-being and optimal performance, lies at the heart of my practice.
As an experienced leader in the not-for-profit community sector and a current Director of WorkCover Queensland, I bring firsthand understanding of the complex challenges faced by contemporary organisations.
I believe that the most positive impact on wellbeing occurs when we shift not only to a better balance between work and personal life, but when organisational strategies, systems, policies, culture and practices embrace a people-centric approach, embedding wellbeing and safety into all aspects of business and job design.
More information about psychosocial codes of practice and compliance in my blog.
Let’s Talk- EAP
A more personalised Employee Assistance approach. I work one on one with employees or teams who need assistance in navigating workplace or personal challenges.
For over ten years I was an accredited mental health social worker and have over twenty years counselling experience. In particular I have extensive experience supporting women and groups of women to understand what matters most to them and to build their capacity to succeed in workplace ventures. Employers are increasingly aware of the value of supporting their employees through personal or professional difficulties and personalised and confidential EAP can be a useful too for this.

Supervision
I offer social work and leadership supervision for students, practitioners, teams and managers in the not for profit sector.
Professional supervision with a trusted colleague can assist in personal and professional development. In supervision I offer a connection that is emotionally supportive, while inviting a reflexive practice about the needs of the people being supported and the issues being explored.
Team Supervision
I enjoy assisting and facilitating Teams to discover their (who, what, where and why) of existence. I use a systemic approach to strengthen teams approach to task and process and how they engage internally and externally (with their stakeholders). I believe it is important that challenges from the future are part of the conversation as well as ensuring team collaboration and interpersonal connection.

I can assist with training and building organisational capability on a broad range of employee or client-based issues.

Facilitation and planning
Facilitated group discussions are purpose driven conversations that can be an effective way to create a space for people to build connection and explore what is important to them.
My approach is systems informed, inclusive with a strong emphasis on safe participation and can assist organisations to engage around tricky issues, acknowledge diversity, unearth culture and overcome organisational obstacles. It can provide a valuable means to reach consensus or develop effective strategy and planning.

A short video where I address the issue of workplace sexual harassment and what still needs to change.
“After an incident at work rocked my world and my confidence as a professional, working with Kerriann was the one way I was eventually able to let go, heal and was able to get back to doing the job I love”
